August 27, 2004 - Fable Is Golden!

By Rico - The much anticipated, often hyped, Action RPG from Big Blue Box Studios and game design legend Peter Molyneaux went gold earlier this week. In layman's terms that means the final build went off to the duplication factory in preparation for its release date of September 14th. Although the ambitious title had to par down some of the more enticing aspects of gameplay a couple of gaming sites have received copies of the final build and insist it is still one of the greatest RPGs to hit consoles. This Xbox exclusive title should be well received in the RPG starved market of shooters and racing games. For early reviews of the final build check out IGN (9.3) and TeamXbox (9.1).
